    1. Hello Vinny,

      Please watch the lecture again around timestamp 16:10. The following is mentioned:
      “To prevent tax loopholes related to short-term stock holdings, a restriction was implemented stating that no dividends received deduction is permitted unless the corporation has held the stock for MORE than 45 days.”

      This means the holding period must exceed 45 days, which effectively makes the minimum holding period 46 days. If 45 days were acceptable, the wording would state “45 days or more” (≥ 45), rather than “more than 45 days” (> 45).
